Grand Kick-Off

The 2008 Arts festival of the college officially started today at precisely 12:30 p.m. The function was inaugrated by the Vice-Chancellor of Kalamandalam deeemed University, Dr.V.J.Poulose. The chief guest was cine artist Padmarajan. The first stage item was Thiruvathirakali followed by monoact. Certain offstage items however were conducted earlier due to limited time.

Elections came and went by on the 13th with results that may have serious repurcussions on the political atmosphere in JEC.13 turned out to be a very unlucky number for Mech as they were trounced by a coalition of several other branches leaving guys in Mech reeling under the xtreme shrewdness of EEE and EC seniors as they shared the posts of chairman and vice-chairman. A war is already under planning ready to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of JEC. All first years r hence advised to remain away from all types of celebrations for atleat three months if they don't want any xtra bones.

All hot gals and cool dudes get ready! After a short wait of just two years the college day is to be on 10th of this month and that's to say a week away! Along with a superb dance number from Club 307 and its brother concerns. So fasten ur seat belts, the ride begins soon!!!!!!!!

This is how we cleaned the Room 307 using techniques learnt from Osama Bin Laden himself, especially his trademark uniform. Also used is his special tickling tatics, used here to ward of spiders..

Sessional 'Xams!! AAaaahhh!!!!

Our sessional exams have been sheduled to start on the 29th of this month,, so guys and gurls get ready to study... it'll be 2 exams per day for 4 days continous.

Meanwhile we've heard that 30th may be a hartal.

CLuB 307!

CLuB 307 is da WiNNeR of the poster competition!! And with this we formally innaugrate the CLuB :). Innaugral Celebrations will be held at the boys hostel at 8PM..

Celebrations:

1. Chicken Biriyani for everybody at the Hostel Mess.
2. Inaugral speech at Room 307 for all members of CLuB 307.
3. Ithe pramaniche allavarakum Velli,Sheni,Njayar inne dhivasangal holiday prakyabichirikyunnu. (TranSlation: AS a part of celebrations we are proud to announce holidays form friday to Sunday! ;) )

Space Week "Paripadikkal" !!

And finally the Space Week celebrations have come to an end with a Quiz-SLideShow-Poster Competition Triathlon organised by the EC Department of our Jyothi College..

In the quiz the first prize went to Pinky, second was a draw between Lishoy and Abilash which even after a rapid fire round failed to break. But since our organisers only had one second prize they decided to believe on luck and did a toss, which stayed on Lishoy's side.

I don't remember anything about the slide show 'cuz it went faster than a rocket zooming of into orbit,,so i'll leave it that.

The poster competition..:).. organised by the EC Dept. as part of space week was won by our very own "CLuB 307" ! Second prize went to a team from the girls..they're a rather studious lot these girls, so I'm not going into any details...

and they banned it too..:(

Just when we thought that nothing could trouble at times like this the Jyothi people end up banning our dear Orkut!

Sheesh, seems they don't want any1 to have fun these days!!!

WHen will they ever learn that there are loads of other social networking sites just waiting to be logged onto :D
